All of our products, including Smart Tubes, can be shipped via UPS and FedEx.
Once blood samples are banked in Smart Tubes you will need to keep them stored at -80C or ship them in dry ice. As a result, when shipping samples banked in Smart Tubes you should observe all applicable regulations regarding shipment of blood samples in dry ice.
Here are links to FedEx and UPS pages that discuss dry ice quantities and labelling:

Although shipping samples in dry ice is not considered by most groups to be a significant obstacle, we have a different reagent system, the Stable-Lyse Stable-Store reagent system which allows you to keep the banked samples at 4C for extended periods of time (some groups have reported good results when the samples were left at 4C for over 21 days). This would eliminate the need to use dry ice.
